30-Year Fixed Rate Mortgage Average in the U.S. Increases for 3rd Consecutive Month

The 30-year fixed rate mortgage average was 3.57% in March according to numbers from FRED. This represented the third consecutive month of increases in the mortgage rate and it is now 22 basis points higher than the all-time low of 3.35% from December last year (based on data since 1975).
